I LOVE IT!

I recently purchased the Dirt Devil Brum Vac. I took it home and couldn't wait to use it! My initial thought was it looked really cool and seemed easy to use. I put it together and had a bit of trouble assembling the handle. You have to push in the handle pretty hard, but it will click. I charged it up then went to town. The suction was great, perfect for quick pick ups in my kitchen! The dirt container can be removed and emptied one handed. Can wait to use it during the holidays!

When I saw a commercial for the Dirt Devil BRUM, I knew I had to have it. With a cat, a dog and hardwood floors throughout our house, it seemed like the perfect solution to keep the floors clean.

I found that you had to sweep dirt into a pile, then use the side of the broom with the hole to ensure suction. It was easier to get out the dust pan. This is NOT IDEAL FOR PET HAIR. It will sweep it, but will not vacuum the pat hair.

The concept is great - a cordless broom that vacuums - but the product just didn't accomplish what it should.

Received this as a gift and have been extremely disappointed with it. Even with a full charge it can hardly suck up anything. In addition, the bristles are easily bent and tend to trap whatever you are sweeping.

Piece of Junk, in My Opinion

I got it home and began assembly, the product did not even have a charging light as indicated in the user manual! So anyway, I let it charge for 24 hours and still nothing! It doesn't even come on.... NO POWER! I've had this item for just over 24 hours, and am returning it for a full refund today! Highly disappointed.

WORST PRODUCT EVER!!!!

I bought this broom-vacumm thinking it was a good idea. The brand seems to make good appliances so I trusted them. To my surprise this has been the WORST THING I have ever bought. No matter how much you charge it never sucks up anything and it barely sweeps the floors properly. This is the first time I leave a review for a product, and this is because of how dissapointed I am. Don't buy this, you will regret it!!!

Total Bust!

I wish I had read the reviews before grabbing this for my new home. We have handscraped wood and Mexican adobe tile throughout and I wanted something to clean quick dust balls and small dust areas. I guess I was in total disbelief that this didn't work. It does nothing but sweep and believe me, it isn't even as good as my real broom. I will always read on here first before making another purchase such as this. It is so useless, that I am curious if the 5 star reviews are authentic?

I bought this on clearance at Target, not wanting to spend much in case it wasn't that great. I would go back and spend full price! It is the best broom ever! I have a 4 year old who constantly leaves crumbs and messes at the table. It picks them all up with ease! It even pick up the dust bunnies on my hardwood floors, and bits of sterofoam! I love this product and highly recommend it!

I have not had any problems with my new BRUM vac. I initially charged it as instructed in the manual and have used it 2-3 times every day since in my kitchen. That was one week ago today and it is still going strong. It is heavier than a regular broom, but for small, quick crumb & dirt jobs this thing is great! I like that it does not have to stay on a charger...I can hang it inside my pantry door. The only drawback is that hair does have a tendency to get caught in the bristles-but then again it always got caught on the roller in my old "broom" vac too.

We bought this because my wife thought it might be helpful... and helpful it is!! For quick little dry spills and quick cleans, it is SUPER handy. I really don't know why some people are so negative about them... perhaps they aren't using them correctly. Ours has plenty of vacuum power and sweeps clean. Hair and stuff does get caught in the bristles, but I'd rather have it there than left on the floor... we just clean the broom periodically.

One last thing, we go to Sweet Tomatoes fairly regularly and in every restaurant we've seen they have a couple of Dirt Devil Broom Vacs around the restauarant for quick clean ups! Hey, if it works for commercial duty, then it should last a long time for our residential use!!

PS, we got ours at Walmart for $25... well worth the money!!
