Fair

This product only does a fair job of cleaning. I have tile that is less than one year old and the grout only looked a little cleaner after 3 uses.
It leaves a film of water on the surface that takes at least 15 minutes to dry and some spots have to be wiped up by hand.
Would I buy this again, no. Jean

Poor Product

The Steam Mop left my floor very wet and did not put out that much steam. My regular hand mop did a better job. Returning product.

Complete let-down

I bought this steam mop for my wife because she was dying to try one out, with a baby tearing up the kitchen and all. However, this specific mop didn't even come close to where it needed to be in order to get the job done.

The main problem here is that steam mop technology just isn't quite there yet. The steam alone isn't enough to get a lot of stains up, but since you can't use any type of chemicals in conjunction with this mop, it does very little to get the floor clean. Even worse, the process of steaming leaves a fine silt-like film all over the area after you're done. You pretty much have to break out the old mop and bucket just to clean up the mess that this "new and improved" mop made. I believe someone was good to try to apply steam cleaning to a handheld mop, but the process of just squirting the steam out of the bottom with nothing more than a cloth cover to clean the floor isn't really a good idea. Match that up with the $90 price tag, at least when I purchased it, and it makes this mop pretty pathetic as far as value is concerned.

Overall, please save your money. You'd be better to buy a large steam vacuum for a little more that will at least have rotating brushes or some other gizmo that actually breaks down stains and stuff on the floor, instead of just relying on steam alone. I think this is pretty common with all of the steam mops out there, so again...please save your money.

Junk

My wife used this three times, and it did a good job of cleaning. Today, as she was using it, the handle detached from the main body. I took it apart, and saw that the heat generated during it's use warped the plastic of the handle so badly that it could no longer lock in place. A basic defect in design and materials - it's now useless.

Love it

I love this mop. It seems to deep clean my floor & dries faster than conventional mopping. I love that I am not using chemicals. The water supply lasts long enough for me to clean my rather large kitchen, a couple small baths & two small entries. I have mainly linoleum - one entry is tile, but it is an older style - so I am not sure how it would do on wood/laminate or more modern tiles. The cord is too short for my kitchen - I have to switch it a couple times while cleaning. Another reason I did not give it 5 stars is because you have to hold the button down the entire time while you clean. I have carpal tunnel syndrome, and this was causing a lot of discomfort. But, I wrapped a rubber band around the trigger and put a small spoon handle under the band, and that holds the button down for me. I have not tried this mop with the carpet attachment yet, but it did include one.

Actually better than its reviews

I did not read the reviews before I bought the SFC but after using it for 8 months I have to disagree with the previous reviews. My SFC is working absolutely fine and helps me a lot to even clean stubborn dirt on my carpet. The wetness that is left after each use is not much and I think that is not unusual for such a product.
